On Friday we started representing money using different coins and bills in small groups. Students had to represent a given amount of money in 4 different ways working in small groups. Here are some pictures from last Friday’s math lesson.
Today, students had a chance for some independent practice. If your child finished their homework, they still wrote it down in their agenda but simply checked it off to show you they finished it in class or during library.

SCIENCE
We are wrapping up our science units this week. Grade 3 and Grade 4 assignments are due on Thursday.
Note to parents – Students have had a lot of time to work on this in class. Today, we had our last period of class time to work on this so the rest of the project is to be completed at home. Students have had the opportunity to go to homework club at recess and use their Library time to work on this assignment as well.
Grade 3’s
PLANT project is due this Thursday, November 14th. All students have completed a worksheet with their ideas, rough copy and are now working on their good copy. The good copy is on cardstock and should include a coloured drawing of their made up plant on the front with their plants name. On the back, is a written description of their plant that includes all of he details that they created from their worksheet. Students will present their PLANT to the class starting next week.
The grade 3’s will be having their PLANT quiz on Tuesday, November 19th. I will post what your can review with your child on the blog tomorrow.
Grade 4’s
CREATURE project is due this Thursday, November 14th. All students have completed a worksheet with their ideas, rough copy and are now working on their good copy.
